I actually made this last night because I couldn’t wait to try it. I made extra and put it in the frig overnight. It was still just as delicious and the consistency was perfect, not too watery or thick. It was great for a light lunch after eating the big bowl of Loaded Eggs.
I shared it with Lindsey, my youngest daughter, and she loved it!
The recipe below is for 1 serving, but I just increased everything to have extra for the next day.
High Protein Milky Way Chocolatey Almond Smoothie
¾ cup Vanilla Almond Milk (or unsweetened almond milk)
2 tbsp coconut cream, (optional)
2 tbsp Justin’s almond butter
¼ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp stevia drops
¼ cup (¾ oz.) Premier Protein vanilla whey protein isolate (or unflavored)
½ tbsp cocoa powder
¾ cup ice cubes
1. Place the almond milk, coconut cream (if using), almond butter, vanilla extract, and stevia into a blender and blend until mixed.
2. Add the protein powder, cocoa powder, and ice. Blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy.
Tip: Replace 1 cup of Greek yogurt for a dairy based smoothie.
