Low Carb Brown Sugar Bacon wrapped Chicken Breast

Tonight’s dinner is definitely a keeper recipe... both Mike and Lindsey went back for 2nds!

The brown sugar, smoked spices and bacon give this dish a smoked sweet flavor that keeps you going back for more!

Low Carb Brown Sugar Bacon wrapped Chicken Breasts.

This is cooked high and fast in the oven which keeps the chicken really moist! Then broiled for a couple minutes to carmelize the sugar while crisping up the bacon.

I used Swerve Brown Sugar to keep it low carb, but just a little bit.

Low Carb Brown Sugar Bacon wrapped Chicken Breast

4 boneless chicken breasts

8-10 slices of bacon

1/4 c Swerve Brown Sugar

2 tsp Smoked paprika

1/4 tsp roasted garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1 TB chopped fresh parsley

-Preheat oven to 385.

-In small bowl mix dry ingredients, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

-Rub half the spice mix on the the chicken

-Wrap 2-2 1/2 slices of bacon around the chicken breast. Place seam side down in a baking dish. Tucking the small end of the chicken breast under itself. This wil keep that part fro drying out while the thicker part cooks.

-Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar Mix we the top of the chicken

-Bake for 25-30 minutes till chicken is cooked through and temps at 165’. Basting the chicken occasionally with the pan drippings.

-Broil on high for 1-2 minutes to cris the bacon and carmelize the sugar mix.

- Sprinkle with parsley for a pretty presentation
